Becker is equipping the 3rd vessel of the MSC Fantasia class with a TLFKSR® Rudder, just like its two sister ships
MSC Cruises placed a third order with an option for a fourth unit of the 133 MSC Fantasia class cruise ship at STX France SA shipyard. The vessel will be equipped with Becker’s TLFKSR® Twisted Flap Rudder. The TLFKSR® rudder is especially suitable for fast applications such as cruise vessels with the highest demands on manoeuvrability and reliability and is therefore a popular choice amongst cruise ship owners. The new 139,400t cruise ship has a length of 333.0m, a beam of 38.0m and a draft of 8.6m. The ship will be a sister ship to “MSC Splendida” and “MSC Fantasia”, which are operating successfully with Becker’s twisted flap rudders. Delivery of this third of a class cruise ship giant is scheduled for mid-December 2012.
